Highlights of 2002
February:
· Bible Institute started a new year with an enrolment of 45 students, ended November with 42. This was the biggest group ever to begin and end.
· Sewing classes began with 16 students and graduated 13
· Welding classes began with 6 young men 4 completed the course. Pastor Edgardo teaches the course at the church in Villas del Carmen.
March
· Adult Literacy classes began with 8 students. This program is designed to teach adults to read and write and has the approval of the Honduran educational system. We are in our second year doing this.
· Evangelism. The congregation from La Ceiba and Villas del Carmen joined forces to do a city wide tract evangelism taking advantage of the multitudes that visit our city for lent. We gave out approximately 10.000 tracts [March 29,30].
July
· Leadership. 40 leaders met in Santa Cruz de Yojoa for training and fellowship with the congregation there. The theme of the teachings was Toward an aggressive leadership.
We were challenged to step up front and let our leadership be felt not only in church but in the community. Pastor Jose Manuel [host] said it certainly did a lot of good to him and his congregation.
August
- Work group. Brothers and sisters from four different congregations [Ohio, Louisiana, Illinois and Florida] made up a work group and visited to work on our new church. Beside the work we enjoyed great fellowship.
September
- Attendance. Result of much emphasis on believing God and living an aggressive Christian life attendance reached record in all four congregations. La Ceiba 210 Villas del Carmen 85 El Pino 43 Santa Cruz 50
November
- National Convention. The theme of this convention was Enlarging the Place of our Tent with emphasis on evangelism and church growth. We are now enjoying the fellowship of many who accepted Jesus during those three nights and two days. We held the services in the new building, It rained on us one night but God saved 14 souls under the rain.
Looking Towards 2003
- February Begin Sewing classes, Bible Institute, Welding Course.
- March. Evangelistic Concert with group from the States, Radio Program, Evangelistic soccer team, work group from Louisiana to work on New Church.
- July. Group from Honduras visit Dominican Republic to attend Inter-American Conference. Work group from Missouri-Illinois to work on new church, Churches in the States donate a school bus.
- August. Work group from Ohio to work on New Church.
- December. Inaugurate New Church
- No Specific Dates. Purchase property for Church in El Pino, Donate land to AIDS Organization, Purchase land for Pastor Jose Manuel, work group from La Ceiba to Santa Cruz to paint the church building, Leadership Conference.

New Sanctuary
The new sanctuary is nearing completion across the street! It is lacking a roof, but that hasn't stopped us from worshipping there already! Praise God for the way His spirit is moving here and in His church at large.
Noticias De la Iglesia ¡El santuario nuevo está acercando a la terminación a través de la calle! Es emocionante ver el edificio el pasar para arriba el curso del tiempo, y será aún más emocionante al worhship allí por el primer tiempo.
